Christina Ritchey Wilson, J.D.,R.S. is the Interim Section Chief of the Food Safety Program at Columbus Public Health in Columbus, Ohio, United States.  Columbus Public Health operates the largest food safety program in Ohio, and is responsible for the licensing, education, inspection, and enforcement related to nearly 6,700 retail food facilities.  Columbus employs 28 Registered Sanitarians / S.I.T.s  in the Food Safety Program, and serves a population of more than 760,000.

 

Ms. Wilson has previously supervised Columbus Public Health’s Healthy Homes, Chemical and Physical Hazards, and Water Protection Programs. Ms. Wilson is a graduate of The Ohio State University, and earned her juris doctorate at the University of Toledo, College of Law.  Ms. Wilson practiced civil law in private practice for more than ten years. She is a Registered Sanitarian with the State of Ohio.

 

Ms. Wilson is the current President (2009-2010) of the Ohio Association for Food Protection, which is the Ohio Affiliate of the International Association for Food Protection.  She served on the Local Arrangements Committee for the 95th Annual IAFP Meeting, and assisted with the 2006 Conference for Food Protection Meeting. Additionally Ms. Wilson has served as the President (2005-2006) and 4 years on the Board of the Ohio Environmental Health Association, which is affiliated with the National Environmental Health Association.
