§  Line and Prep Cook

§  Secretary-Treasurer

§  Responsible for leading a family owned business.  We are currently one of the top visited attractions in the Dayton Miami Valley Region of Ohio with over 1.1 million visitors a year

§  Leadership and training for a 300 person workforce in creating exceptional experiences for our Guests

§  Responsible for financial performance of company and obtaining financing for expansion projects

§  Directs marketing and positioning of company

§  Leads the Strategic Planning process

Family

Married to Cathy for 34 years.  Cathy has worked for Young’s 38 years in many capacities.  She currently is manager of Young’s Farmstead Cheese Marketplace

Dan & Cathy’s son John is a business owner and teacher in the Columbus Ohio area and and married Kelly Lohnes in June 2008.  John met Kelly when both were employees of Young’s.

Board Member of Yellow Springs-Miami Township Community Improvement Corporation 1998 – 2008, a non-profit dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community.  Chair 2006-2008.  Accomplishments include assisting in creating and building $15,000,000 Antioch McGregor University expansion

Board Member of the Miami Valley Restaurant Association 1999 – 2006, working to help fellow members prosper, enhance scholarship, education and training efforts.  Past President of the Board

Chair of the Ohio Restaurant Association 2006-07.  Board member 2001-present.

Board Member of Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce 2007 – present.  President 2009.
